Something has gone terribly wrong here...

I doubt I'm the first to point out the changes. Or the butterflies, but... I brushed against one and it changed...

Ryld. It was an illusion - I saw through it, of course, and it dispersed quickly, but that something like that could see deeply enough into my mind to pull that image out is unsettling enough.

I have a terrible headache. The last time I felt like this was once when I stepped into a place of wild magic... Could Yuuko have brought a Time of Troubles down on all our heads? No, this isn't her fault... Does this world even have gods?

How do human children deal with monsters in the dark again? Oh, yes. I'm beginning to want to simply crawl into the bed, pull the sheets over my head, and wait for this to pass. But I know I should try to help set things right... I don't dare cast a single spell, though. There's no telling what it might do.

With the right spell, I can cause someone to hear, smell, or even feel what I desire them to experience. Some spells have limits, but the most powerful ones have very few. I can create illusions that are partly real, or even frighten someone to death.
